EFFECTIVE MARCH 24, 2021
WE ARE MEETING LIVE ON THE LAND AGAIN!
We are living in such turbulent times, and every day we gain new knowledge and understanding of best practices to help flatten the curve of COVID-19. We have begun meeting live on the land again and will as long as COVID protocols from British Columbia health officials allow for it.
We have a plan for safely gathering, and it looks like this:
1. We gather on Sundays afternoons in smaller circles. Gathering times are at 1:00 pm. Please check our calendar for meeting dates. Reservations are necessary to participate and to make sure our circle size allows for safe social distancing. To reserve a spot in our circle – and to find out details of where we are gathering – please contact us.
Please wear a mask to and from our gatherings
no carpooling outside your bubble
bring your own chair
bring your own drink – no sharing water bottles, food or phones
use hand sanitizer when you arrive
maintain safe social distancing at all times
If you have experienced any symptoms (cough, sneezing, fever, or flu-like symptoms) or feel ill at all, or you have been exposed to anyone with these symptoms or with COVID-19, please do not attend. We will continue our online zoom gatherings and will save a space for you next month if you are feeling better.
If you have traveled out of province in the 14 days preceding our gatherings, we would ask that you complete the recommended 14 day quarantine period before joining us.
2. We have also developed weekly resources that you might use to spark reflection and contemplation during your personal engagement with the Wild. Virtual circle gatherings on Zoom are offered on Saturdays at 2:00 pm when we are not gathering live on the land. The pattern will be much like our gatherings with opening acknowledgements, prayers, a short reading or two, and a closing blessing. We hope this will encourage you to continue feeding your wild soul through a connection with the natural world. These resources are being emailed weekly. Please contact us if you would like to receive them.
3. We will continue to pray for calmness, for healing and for all our leaders who are having to make decisions with very little experiential wisdom to draw upon. And we will pray for each of you in a general way – that you will feel the presence of the Holy in your lives, that you will find comfort when you need it, and that you will stay well.
4. We welcome calm and well-behaved dogs at Wild Church gatherings. For insurance liability reasons, it is required that dogs be kept on a leash at all times. If you intend to bring your four-legged friend, please be sure the park is dog friendly.
