Wandering and wondering in the natural world. Wild Church Okanagan meets monthly to connect with the Great Mystery, seeking to learn the wisdom of Creator in creation. These gatherings are accessible to all and rotate around green spaces in the area around Kelowna, Rutland, West Kelowna, Westbank and sometimes beyond. We meet on the first and third Saturdays at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Designed to feed and nourish your soul, each ninety minute gathering includes a time of centering, readings from a variety of authors, time for quiet reflection on the land, and concludes with a time of sharing our experiences with one another.
Teachings come from everywhere when you open yourself to them. That’s the trick of it, really. Open yourself to everything, and everything opens itself to you.
– Richard Wagamese, Embers
Wild Church also offers a more active time of reflection on the second Saturday afternoon of the month. Wild Pilgrimages are designed to open our eyes, our ears, and our hearts to the wisdom around us. Our outings include hiking or snowshoeing local trails, times on or near the water of local lakes, and other adventures to “wild” places.
You can find information about the next Okanagan Gatherings on the Okanagan Gatherings page.
